The export use of colours to countries overseas needs to be considered in relation to the qualities of daylight they are likely to be seen under.
On the question of national and racial colour preferences and prejudices it is difficult to generalise as other characteristics of the product to be exported have to be taken into consideration.
The following is a revision of the COLOUR INFORMATION in the Report of the British Export Trade Research Organisation (BETRO). This has been edited and brought up to date for ColorAcademy by D. Pavey. The original BETRO Report was begun in February 1952 in collaboration with Intam LTD. However, it neglected Africa, India, Italy, Latin America and Japan. ColorAcademy welcomes advice of changes and additions.
