Colours of Autumn
<<Back to Seasons

In the season bridging the gap between the vivacious spectrum of summer colours and the often-times monochromatic landscapes of winter one can observe a vast array of rich colours ranging from the umbers of leaves long since fallen to the rich yellows and oranges prevalent in the leaves still clinging to the trees as they pass from their luscious green youth into a visibly enriched maturity and warmth of hue.

Autumn or Fall, though by no means as varied as summer in its colours nonetheless provides a palette of great application for the visual artist and of great wonder for the beholder.

As this change occurs, the greens that remain in those leaves not yet turned, evergreens, mosses, grass and the like become further emphasized, taking on a new prominence in a landscape that is soon to become largely somber save for their presence.
