	1st - Paper In central Europe complicated paper patterns were often cut to decorate the site of the anniversary. The Poles and Hungarians are especially famous for their cut paper doily in intricate and wonderful patterns.
	5th - Wood Intricate treen work is especially acceptable as presents for the fifth anniversary.
	10th - Tin At the tenth anniversary it might be appropriate to give gifts of metal kitchenware or at least tins of biscuits.
	12th - Silk The twelfth anniversary demands something really special such as a silken purse or a beautiful silk garment.
	15th - Crystal Crystal glasses are an especially desirable present for the fifteenth anniversary.
	20th - China Beautiful ceramicware and colourful China would be especially acceptable for the twentieth.
	25th - Silver Bracelets, hand-mirrors and trays are a beautiful reminder of the twenty-fifth anniversary.
	30th - Ivory Often today other materials are substituted for ivory, such as beautiful casts of antique figurines. It is, in fact, illegal to buy and sell new ivory.
	35th - Jade Jade shares some of the characteristics of the emerald and can stand for long lasting devotion.
	40th - Ruby The ruby is an emblem of heartfelt passion which fires eternal love.
	45th - Sapphire Sapphire the most spiritual of all the precious stones is a fine reward for devoted souls.
	50th - Gold Gold shines out as the most valuable possession. To give it symbolises bighearted wealth of affection.
	55th - Emerald Emerald is an ancient symbol of love in perpetuity. This makes emerald a very touching reminder of one's earliest love.
	60th (UK) 70th (US) - Diamond The gift of the diamond is a token of a person's shining devotion to a soulmate.
